Denmark - the day before the Polar Gold Cup

After an easy and uneventful flight yesterday, Mardee, Ginny (mardee's friend from California who also has Samoyed) and I walked into town for a delightful supper at Le Mer, a local restaurant. It was really a settle-in and catch up on a little sleep sort of a day, so after a lazy afternoon, the stroll to Le Mer was most appreciated.

Our hotel is amazing. An early 1800's farm that has been converted to a conference/retreat Inn. Complete with art hanging on the walls, designer gowns on dressmaker's forms, antique furniture gracing corners, the quaint arrangements and thatched roofs make for a truly old world aesthetic feel to the entire experience.

Breakfast was an amazing spread of cheeses, salami and sliced meats, perfectly boiled eggs and BREAD - homemade and still warm from the oven rohbrot (my spelling of this could be way off) and buns, homemade preserves to spread on liberally and enjoyed with juice and coffee. I'm going to have to do a little walking today to burn some of this off.
