A very warm, verging on hot by about 2:00 in the afternoon. We took our time today and took a few extra stops. It was such lovely rolling countryside with lots of ruins along the way and even a deep working well (fuenta) that if you wanted, you could walk down into what was a huge square pool with steps all the way down to the bottom. The water level was about half way up. Deliciously cool, if one wanted to indulge. Sunscreen was a must today! Staying at a lovely little albergue, run by a German couple - rough stone walls and open timbers. Perfect!
The wine/water fountain at the Irache winery, just outside of Estella, a camino tradition to drink the wine from your shell. Yes, that's us drinking wine at 7:30 a.m.
The Church of Santa Maria in Los Arcos
A rock bridge over the little stream that runs through town, not my best photo!
