Day 6 - got into Granon moments before the rain!!!

All in all - a beautiful day. We wanted to get an early start, so we were up at 5:00 and heard the 6:00 bells as a faint and distant ting. Walked the first 9 km to Cirinuela, where we had coffee and croissants at the gorgeous golf country club and resort with Seregio Garcia and Tiger Woods . . . Well, big old life-sized pix of them anyway!
The Way Marker as we left the country club

Then it was 7 km to S. Domingo, where several walkers stopped, but after a brief encounter with a burrow and his master on the trail, and devouring our apples, it was on for 7 km more to Granon.
Poppies everywhere, on the roadside and scattered almost everywhere you look

The hostel here is in the top most floor of the very old church and would have been okay, but tumbling mats on the floor are not what our backs were screaming for.
The albergue is a privately run home, and while the proprietor, who looks just like a young Pavoratti, promised to sing to us over dinner, we opted ( in the chill and rain ) to pamper ourselves with a night at the cute little hotel ... Reasonable and unlimited HOT water in the shower-a deal at almost any price!
In Granon,Barb is filling up at the water fountain - we were both hot and thirsty - and about 15 min later the rains came.
